Moonridge School of Dance COVD-19 Sanitation Protocol

In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the following preparation and protocol will be adhered to by all students, teachers, and any and all people entering the studio. We at the Moonridge School of Dance take the health and safety of our students and their families very seriously and have put these rules in place in order to protect them.

As CDC and county/ state restrictions and recommendations change, so will procedures at the studio. If, for any reason, you are uncomfortable with coming to the studio for in person classes, classes will continue to be provided through zoom until the current threat has passed.

Face masks will be required to enter and must remain on while in the lobby. A student may remove their mask before entering the studio for class, and will not have to put back on when leaving after class. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Waiting in the lobby will not be permitted at this time. We ask that you wait outside and practice social distancing when applicable.

Lobby chairs will be spaced adequately for social distancing and to reduce high touch areas.

Anyone entering the lobby will have their temperature taken and will need to sanitize hands using the provided hand sanitizer at the front door.

Any person entering the studio for class from the lobby will need to wash their hands in the lobby bathroom before entering.

Please make sure your dancer is dressed  with their hair in a bun before they arrive. This will help reduce contact with high touch areas.

Students are not allowed to enter the studio until disinfecting is finished and will not be allowed to enter any sooner than 5 minutes before class.

Any student who leaves the studio for the lobby must use hand sanitizer before re-entering the studio. If a student leaves class to go to the bathroom, they must wash their hands following CDC guidelines before re entering the studio.

The studio floor and barres will be adequately marked to adhere to proper social distancing while in class.

Neither teachers nor students are allowed to touch each other at any time while inside the lobby or studio. If for any reason a teacher must touch a student, the teacher will put on a mask, sanitize their hands and wear gloves. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Both studios, bathrooms, and lobby will be cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis.

All high touch areas, including but not limited to, doors, door handles, chairs, bathroom sinks and toilets, barres and all equipment used during classes will be disinfected before studio opens, before and after classes, and when closing up.

Class start and end times are spaced with 15-30 minutes between to give students time to gather belongings and leave, as well as time to clean and disinfect before the next group of students enter.

When weather permits, the doors and windows leading to the parking lot will remain open with fans, when appropriate, to promote air circulation.

If anyone should need to talk to me or one of our teachers, please call! I will return your call as soon as possible. If an in person meeting is necessary, please call to set an appointment with me and/ or the teacher.
