Brianna

Brianna began her dance training at the age of 3 under the direction of Sharon McCormick. Accepted to the Lake Arrowhead Classical Ballet Company at the age of 12, Brianna performed with LACBC’s rendition of Tchaikovsky’s, Nutcracker Ballet from 1994 through 1998, dancing the parts of the Harlequin Doll, Toy Soldier, Snow soloist, Arabian, Merliton, Waltz of the Flowers, and lead Spanish. In 2014, Brianna danced the Sugar Plum Fairy. She also performed New York, New York, Paquita, La Fille Mar Gardee, The Little Match Girl, Peter and the Wolf, Swanside Story, Union Jack, Stars and Stripes, La Boutique Fantasque, and many other ballet’s that Artistic Director Sharon McCormick brought to the Lake Arrowhead community. She continues to be a part of the LACBC’s alumni.
Brianna also trained with Lauren Harris in several jazz performances, as well as tap numbers under the direction of Renee Roulet. She also had the opportunity to take master classes with such dance masters as Eric Herbst, Janine Shirey, Dona Davis-Clarke, Kelley Lamoureux of Pacifica Ballet, and Alwyn McCormick of Colorado Ballet. Brianna spent 4 summers at LACBC’s summer intensive program studying several styles of dance. She also auditioned, and was accepted to many professional ballet company’s summer intensive programs, such as San Francisco Ballet, Joffrey, Milwaukee, Pennsylvania’s The Rock Ballet, Houston, and Colorado Ballet where she spent the summer of 1998.
Brianna stepped away from dance for a short while to marry and begin her family. She is now back with dance, having earned her Dance Masters Association Certificate to teach ballet. She also enjoys teaching lyrical dance.
